Math Teachers Named District Teachers of the Year The common denominator between this year's District Teachers of Year just happens to be math. Both the Elementary and Secondary District Teacher of the Year for Comal ISD have been teaching math for more than a decade and say they get their inspiration from their students.

Smithson Valley Winter Guard Team Wins State Title The Smithson Valley High School Winter Guard team won the State Championship for the Texas Color Guard Circuit. Additionally, every high school in Comal ISD was represented at a state winter guard competition this season.
