Local law enforcement treated to back-to-school lunch

Comal Independent School District is proud of its partnerships with local and area law enforcement agencies and fire departments. In order to say, “thank you,” and kick off the new school year, the district hosted a welcome back lunch Monday, Aug. 26, at its support services building.

“We are honored to work with these men and women on a daily basis,” said Andrew Kim, Comal ISD superintendent. “This lunch is just one way to let them know how much we appreciate everything they do for our students, teachers and community.”

More than 50 representatives from the New Braunfels Police Department, Bulverde Police Department, Comal County Sheriff’s Office and the New Braunfels Fire Department attended the lunch.

This year, in addition to school resource officers on each of the district’s secondary campuses, Comal ISD has expanded its partnerships to include SROs who will rotate among the elementary campuses as well.

Thank you!
